Japan 2010 – Day 3

Day 3

Braving the rain in osaka, we visited the Nara Deer Park where over 1,200 wild deers
freely roam around & it is also home to the Todaiji Temple.

Todaiji Temple, the largest wooden building in the world houses a 50′ tall statue of Buddha.

Below picture shows a  supporting post in the Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall)
has a hole apparently the same size as one of the Daibutsu’s nostrils.

Legend has it that those who pass through it will be blessed with
enlightenment in their next life.

Not forgetting about the Sakura. which were very pretty! ♥

Next to Kyoto Nishijin Textile Center for lunch & Kimono Fashion Show

Off we go to visit the famous Kyomizu Temple (Pure Water Temple)…

Took Shinkansen “bullet train” to Nagoya!

Stayed at Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel which is 6 stars, & very near to Takashimaya
which closed quite early like 8pm! 😦

Day ended with shopping and dinner. 🙂
